Private Judging
When court calendars delay trial dates, private judging-also known as voluntary trial resolution-may offer a more timely alternative for some matters. Upon written agreement and appointment by the court, I draw on my judicial experience to hear the issues and render fair and impartial decisions.
Arbitration
Arbitration offers parties a structured and efficient alternative to a traditional trial and may be binding or nonbinding, depending on the parties’ agreement or court order. Drawing on my experience as a trial attorney and circuit court judge, I conduct each proceeding impartially. I consider the evidence and applicable law, and render a reasoned decision.
Special Magistrate
When specific issues require focused and timely attention, referral to a special magistrate can help streamline the proceedings. With the parties’ consent and the court's appointment, I draw on my judicial experience and provide the parties with clear, concise, and impartial rulings on motions, discovery, or deposition issues.
